If you'd like to try a cleansing diet but aren't sure where to start, here are some ideas.
Significance
The theory behind detoxification diets is that one's body usually is able to eliminate toxic substances through waste and perspiration, but sometimes it becomes overwhelmed with the daily bombardment and stores toxins in the colon and body fat. This also happens when people's elimination systems have not been working properly due to an unhealthy diet with too little fiber and too many refined and processed foods. When the toxins do not leave the colon fast enough, they can become reabsorbed into the body.
¦Organic food and drink (no pesticides or fungicides).
¦Whole unprocessed foods (grains, nuts, seeds, etc).
¦High mix of vegetables and fruit.
¦2 liters of water per day
You can eat all vegetables today. Eat as much vegetable as possible along with the soup. Stuff yourself with fresh, raw, cooked or canned veggies. Don’t forget the leafy vegetables but stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Don’t eat any fruits today. At dinner time, you can eat a big baked potato with butter.
Eat as much soup as you can with all fruits and vegetables but do not eat the baked potato. You will already be lighter by 5-7 pounds.
Today you need to eat bananas and drink milk. Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as possible. Don’t forget to take your soup. This diet will lessen your cravings for sweets.
7 Day Cleansing Diet
There are different ways to approach a cleansing diet. Some people like to detox by drinking only freshly squeezed fruit juices and filtered water for the duration of the cleanse, which is more like a fad diet, while others say that a seven day cleansing diet is all about cutting out the processed foods and meat and eating only certain kinds of foods for a week. The latter is a much more reasonable and balanced way of dieting. The important thing is that you only eat certain types of food to help clean out your body and do not starve yourself or this will not give results.

A cleansing diet is based on the idea that when all sources of incoming toxins are eliminated, the body will be able to start eliminating the stored toxins. Now what are toxins? They are mainly chemicals and pollutants from the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. Toxins also include smoke and alcohol. Normally the human body is able to flush all toxins, but when there is too much, it cannot and as a result, toxins get accumulated. Because of this, we experience fatigue, headaches, poor energy levels, digestion problems, constipation, sleeping disorder, unhealthy skin, nervousness, become irritated and much more.
