I meet my boyfriend online 2 years ago through Love@AOL. We e-mailed for a couple of days and exchanged phone numbers at his request, he wasn't the greatest of typists,(laughing) and I gave him the benefit of the doubt when I gave him my number. Needless to say it was worth the gamble.

We had great chemistry, dated for a year, parted company for a year, we dated others, but maintained our friendship. I ended a 4 year relationship in May. We were together for 3 years, a year apart, reconciliatiion and I finally decided to stop trying to fix everything. I was sooo glad that I still had Al in my life and why I broke up with him for a year was one of the dumbest mistakes. We're together again!!!

On the flip side, when I was e-mailing Al, I received a e-mail from a latin gentleman who at first glance seemed very nice…..until. We corresponded for a couple of days and I made the mistake of telling him where I worked. This was in response to one of his e-mails where he gave details about his family and his job. How naive could I be!!!!

The day after this e-mail, I was back in my office after lunch and this gentleman came to the counter. I thought he was applying for a job and in the next few seconds of conversation, I found out it was my AOL guy. He scared the living daylights out of me….he just showed up and wanted to know if we could go to lunch. It was late and I was just back from my lunch and I told him this. Needless to say, he could tell I was a taken by surprise but apologized and said he just wanted to meet me. I knew when I checked my e-mail, there would be something there. Sure enough, an e-greeting. I sent a nice thanks but no thanks and explained why and told him for the future, he shouldn't pop up at someone's job unannounced. Enough said and I didn't hear from him again.

I never placed an ad but I did go out with a guy I met in a chat room. I went on one date and he brought his child along. He turned out to be not divorced yet with a small child who couldn't keep a job and didn't want to. He thought everyone should do as he says and fists seemed to be the way he spoke to people. I helped his soon to be ex-wife get custody so maybe in a way I helped. But what an ass!

I then went out with a guy I met in a chatroom for a college. He helps host people and show them around the city. He's 10 years my senior and a sweetheart. He seemed more like a friend next door kind on the internet, but turned out to be a never married business man with goals and aspirations. Has no children, doesn't smoke, and still talks to mom & dad.
We're still together–it's been more then a year.

Advice for other women—forget the losers and check them out before meeting them. I called the college and got info on the latest. Also don't meet them alone. I had a friend and her boyfriend on the 1st date with me. You can miss the few nice guys on here.

Went through the usual internet dating goofiness: chatroom weirdos, a young lady asking to move in with me after ten minutes of chatting, one young lady who only wanted to send me pictures of LEBANON(?) and many more too numerous to mention. One night on the old Yahoo Conversation feature I posted a small ad saying I was looking for conversation, don 't like cybering but would flirt if given a chance. Ended up that night chatting with Irena. I really liked her but honestly didn 't think it would amount to anything.

We IMed for months, spoke on the phone and wrote letters and finally met…she flew CROSS-COUNTRY and we spent ten days on a long car trip. Seems like a dangerous thing to do; I guess it was but it worked out beyond my wildest expectations. Three months after we “met ” (three months of “I MISS YOU!!! “) I made my own cross-country trip for a “visit. ” The “visit ” is still going on over a year later, things are going fine and we are very happy.

Advice for those still in the 'net game. Remember, the internet is sort of like a dark alley. If you are careful, and keep your mace nearby you can get where you are going. By all means read the stories on here and remember, both the good and bad CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

After spending 2 months in cananda we left for Iceland…it was my turn to see his country in which I had no fear of cause I trusted him totally…we landed in iceland at 6 30 am…his family welcomed me with open arms ….they took us home and we slept almost all day until we heard knocking and people telling will let us in we wanna meet her!!!…

I spent 2 months in iceland I left 1 month pregnant…my family was very happy..in feb 2003 he landed in calgery to live for a few months…april 19th at 6 50 am I gave birth to our daughter michaela elisabet ….now here we are back in iceland with michaela going babababa to our little baby girl in my tummy…I am due march 6 2004….and the scarifice and nervousness was well worth the journey to find a man who I will love the rest of my life and baby girls who will always remind me on how our little family got started…..
